What Singles' Bar and how does it work?  Go back

It is a fast, safe, fun and above all highly effective way of meeting your ideal partner, contacting and meeting other singles looking for a relationship has never been so easy! To search for other members all you need to do is register as a Standard Member yourself. To do this simply Click here to perform a Search.

You can even receive and reply to emails from other members for free. Payment is only required when sending the first email message to another member. So, there are lots that you can do for free. Enjoy Singles' Bar and may you meet the person of your dreams!

You will then be asked to complete a short form to Become a Member. Other members will then be able to view your profile and send messages to you using the anonymous messaging system. You will receive your User ID and Password as soon as you have become a member allowing you to access the site's huge database of singles in YOUR area. Personal details such as your real email address will always remain anonymous.

Singles' Bar provides an anonymous email system for contacting other members. When you are viewing a member that you want to contact or when you find any message in the Inbox, you simply click on the "Send Message" or “Reply Message” button. This will bring up a message box where you can type in your message.

Note: Your email address is never revealed to other members.

When you login to Singles' Bar, just click on the "Inbox" icon to view your messages. When you click on a message to view, a reply box is displayed below their message for you. Below the original message and your reply box is the member's profile.

Yes, meeting people via Singles' Bar is probably the safest form of meeting your ideal partner. You never have to give any personal details (such as your real email address, telephone number or home address) to anyone unless you wish to do so and all correspondence is done via our anonymous messaging facility.

For added safety follow these simple rules:

• Never give your home address, email address or telephone number to a stranger.

• Always arrange to meet in a very public place, i.e. a Park, Pub or Restaurant. Never invite a stranger to your home.

• Always tell someone else where you are going and approximately what time you will be back home.

• Above all use your common sense, if you are unsure about meeting someone then don’t , your instincts are usually right.

How important is it to include a photo? Go back

It can be very important. We all like viewing ads with photos. In fact, ads with photos get approximately 7 times more responses than ads without photos. This makes sense because you feel more connected with someone when you can see her or his picture (there's a real person behind that ad). You can also get more of a sense of the person's personality through his or her photo.

Also, many people just browse ads with photos and never look at the ads without photos. So, you don't need a photo to be a member, but it is highly recommended that you include one.

How much e-mail storage space do I get with Singles-bar?  Go back

There is no storage limit, you may save unlimited messages in your mailbox. Only Standard members can save 10 messages at a time.

I lost my old old messages, they are no longer exist in my Inbox. Go back

Premium members can save their messages as long as membership expires. However, Standard members can save messages for 10 days. You cannot recover your emails once they are removed.

How can I improve my chances? Go back

• Don't just sit and wait for other members to send you a message. Making first move will show you are a go-getter and will improve your chances considerably. Always try to reply promptly to emails you have received, don't worry about looking too keen, replying promptly shows good manners.

• Make sure you have a photo displayed with your profile, many members will only respond to profiles with photos. When choosing your main photo, a good clear 'head and shoulders' shot that shows you looking happy. It will make all the difference!

• Make sure your profile is correct and your description is accurate and sounds genuine, sincere and interesting, read it back to yourself, put yourself in the shoes of the person who will be reading it, would you want to meet you? You can click on "Edit My Profile" at any time to change it.

• Take a long hard look at what you have written, ask yourself whether you would want to reply if you had received it.

• Don't just come straight out with one-liners like "You sound nice, can we meet up? This is my email and phone number". Tell them about yourself, your hobbies and interests, make yourself sound interesting, don't just say "I have a good sense of humour and like a laugh", write something funny and show them you really do like a laugh.

• Above all be honest, lying will get you nowhere as you will be found out sooner rather than later and will most definitely loose any chances of a relationship at the same time.

• NEVER mention sex or imply you are just looking for sex, that is a big turn off and will make most people run a mile!

What if I forget my Account ID or Password?  Go back

No problem, Click Here, complete the form and your Login details will be sent to your email address.

I have registered, but have not received my Account ID  Go back

Your Account ID which is your email address, and Password are sent to you via e-mail within a few minutes of you first becoming a Standard Member.

If you have not received your Account details this is either because you made an error when inputting your email address or you may have a problem with your email software or service provider. You will therefore need to re-register using your correct email address.

What is the Favourites List? Go back

When searching the profiles for interesting members, it can be helpful to keep track of the people that you find appealing so that you can revisit them later. Singles' Bar has a facility called "My Favourites" that lets you keep a list of people that you want to keep track of. The people on your favourites list do not know that they are on your list. Your favourites list is private.

How do I change my Password?  Go back

You can change your password by clicking on the "Change Password" button at the top of each page (after logging in).

You can edit your profile by clicking on the "Edit My Profile" button at the top of each page (after logging in).

How do I send messages to other members?  Go back

Only Premium Members can initiate the contact with other members when viewing a member profile you have the option of sending her or him message. When you click on the "Send Message" option, she or he is notified by email sent to her/him Inbox.

Remember: Standard Free Members can only respond to the messages.

Can I get any alert when message sent to me?  Go back

As a Premium members you can get alerts, it notifies you in the members’ area that you have new emails. You can also turn-on email alerts when any message arrives in your mailbox (Default setting is OFF). However, we don't forward the message itself. You can read your message by logging in. The advantage is that you can immediately view the member's profile to get more information.

What do I do if browser prompts me Password every time I click on any page? Go back

Under normal conditions you only have to login once every time you login the site.

If you are constantly prompted to login at every page, you have not got your browser set to accept cookies correctly. You need to enable all cookies.

Can I include a photo to my Profile? Go back

Only Premium Members may include a photo with their profiles. Photo can be submitted by our upload form.

No, unlike some other sites, we will never automatically re-bill your card. For your peace of mind your card will be billed once only for your subscription, you will then revert back to being a Standard Member once the Premier Membership expires.

You can then upgrade again at any time should you wish to do so, by repeating the Upgrade process.
